WHOLESALE PARTNERSHIP GUIDELINES
We are thrilled to work with you, support you and strive to impress you. Having said that, there are important things to keep in mind as we decide to work harmoniously.
The first and most important fact is that we are a Micro-business and do not outsource anything. This means you’re always communicating directly with our founder, Marissa. Marissa is available by email only, on weekdays during business hours only and mothering with her family during other times. At any given time, Marissa may be in production, formulating, distilling, shipping or in the garden. Please be patient and all your needs will be met. Alternatively, you may be able to receive support and recommendations from our Lead Esthetician.
OFFERINGS
We are botanical ingredient-obsessed and it’s the foundation of our brand. Our primary focus is to provide you with the most natural, carefully formulated ingredients and products. Having a complete collection of our formulations elevates your ability to customize skin treatments for each client. We not only offer an extensive Apothecary Backbar, but also Ready-to-use Retail, “Made to order” Backbar sizes of our retail products, and a limited selection of tools such as original Gua Sha, Cupping Sets, Eye Masks, Bowls, Acupressure tools and more. You choose what works best for your business and clients.
We do not require exclusivity, meaning you are free to work with other brands, with the exception of other Apothecary Backbar Brands which is a conflict of interest. We believe you know best when it comes to your clients, and that may mean you resonate with multiple beautiful brands. We just strive to be your favorite
WHO WE WORK WITH
We work exclusively with holistic estheticians and cater to solo business owners, but are open to small spas or collectives. It’s extremely important that we work with women who understand holistic skin products.
We are no longer working with estheticians who already have an Apothecary Backbar from another brand. It’s a conflict of interest and doesn’t allow you to get through your large inventory of WNB apothecary products at the pace needed for freshness or replenishment. We rely on regular replenishment in order to offer apothecary and wholesale pricing. It’s in your best interest to choose ONE Apothecary backbar brand and stick with it, rather than mixing apothecary ingredients from multiple brands.
We are no longer working with estheticians who have their own skin care line, we find it to be a conflict of interest and not a mutually beneficial relationship. It’s also important to protect our trade secrets and privacy.
STOCKIST EXCLUSIVITY
To preserve the integrity, success and competitive edge among our partners and the brand. Our partners are our top priority. While we believe there is enough space and clientele for everyone, we respect the importance of a buffer between stockists who offer Wilder North Botanicals Skin Care. Wilder North shall not sell skin care to more than 1 stockist within the same zip code or within 20 minute drive of each other with population minimums, while the stockist is “Active”. EDUCATION
Initial Onboarding Orientation
We will arrange a call or zoom with our lead esthetician, Jen Anderson for a brief 30 minute orientation. This is a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for the brand.
Apothecary
If you’re approved for our Apothecary, we will set you up with a live training session with our Apothecary Educator. This will take place via zoom at a time that works for you. We will cover the details about each apothecary product, her best practices for blending, removal, and even pro tricks that elevate the entire experience. We talk about how to use your experience and knowledge(skintuition) to diagnose and then craft a treatment. We will also cover any little idiosyncrasies that come with using a completely natural line. We feel strict protocols suppress your ability to customize treatments, instead we offer rules of thumb. We urge you to consider if a full Apothecary is right for you, it takes a great deal of commitment, labor and ambition to successfully implement an Apothecary Backbar. We also know this is an investment, so make sure you know the number and demand from clientele who will adore this time after time.
Quarterly Zoom Gatherings
If you choose to use our ready-made products or opt-in to our Apothecary, everyone is invited to a Quarterly gathering with our amazing Lead Esthetician, Jen Anderson. This is an opportunity to orient yourself with the line & our core values, meet our other partners, ask questions, chat, explore, and enjoy everyone in the Wilder North Family. Our Founder does not attend, so you can speak freely, openly and honestly without feeling any pressure whatsoever. These gatherings take place during the change of season and we usually talk about changing up ingredients to work with our environment.
We strongly encourage partners to engage in further education through holistic modality courses, workshops, certifications and more. Ask us for our list of resources!
OPENING ORDER
There are 2 options for your opening order, to secure your spot as a partner:
1. $500 minimum opening order, consisting of any combination of: Backbar, Retail or Hero Package. This does not give you access to Apothecary.

2. $4000 for the Complete Apothecary Collection, fulfilling our opening order minimum and giving you access to every item “a la carte” going forward. This includes 10 Backbar sizes of our Hero retail products for you to try and some of our most loved items such as the Frankincense Oil and Coconut Oat Base.

WEBSITE ORDERING
We use the same website for both our retail customers and wholesale customers. In order to shop as wholesale, please create a regular store account. Once we activate your store account for wholesale, you will be able to shop at the wholesale pricing(via coupon code PROWHOLESALE). If you are an Apothecary partner, you will have additional access to place your opening Apothecary Package order and subsequently order “a la carte”. All items except packages are shown at the retail price and your wholesale discount is applied at checkout with the wholesale code. You will shop online at your convenience, no need to call or email or get your order approved! We cannot edit, add to or change orders once they are placed. If you have questions or are looking for stock – email us PRIOR to placing your order.
INVENTORY: We keep small inventories. If you need something that’s not in stock, send us a message and we will either place it in stock for you, or give you an estimated restock date! A heads up is always appreciated if you anticipate needing more than 10 of a single SKU.
PAYMENTS
We accept all major credit cards, paypal, amazon pay, Affirm and Afterpay. Afterpay splits your payments into 4, which can be so helpful for smaller businesses. Should you have any trouble checking out or need to add something to your open order, please email marissa@wildernorthbotanicals.com. We will help you and invoice you if necessary.
SHIPPING
We ship to anywhere within the United States. Shipping costs vary based on location, but we offer a flat rate of $25 to our customers who are further away, essentially splitting the actual cost with you.
Our boxes are heavy and loaded with glass, but we pack carefully. If your order is over $500, we add signature confirmation to make sure it arrives to your hands. Let us know before shipping if you don’t want this so we can find another way to ensure delivery. It’s imperative to provide us correct shipping information at checkout – with delivery to a safe/secure location or trusted individual.
Timeframe
Because we are a microbusiness, we are a slower than some other brands. Everything is hand crafted and most of our backbar is made to order. Wholesale orders can take up to 3 weeks to ship, in rare cases 4. HOWEVER, we do our best to ship available items within 10 business days, and often send the slower items in a second or third package. Please take note of items that are marked as “Pre-order”, as they have estimated release dates. It’s also important to understand that Backbar is often Made To Order – meaning we need to craft the product and fill the jars before shipping. In rare cases and seasons, such as holiday weeks or school vacations – we ask for grace and flexibility in fulfilment – as we are usually juggling an onslaught of orders and personal responsibilities. If you have an urgent timeline, we are happy to discuss rushing your order if you send us a “FRIENDLY and RESPECTFUL” email. This is a family owned business…Thank you for understanding that we are Slow Skincare!
We strongly encourage you to anticipate your needs and order at least 30 days before you need products.
DAMAGED SHIPMENTS & RETURN POLICY
Because we are a super tiny business and each item is hand crafted in small batches, we do not accept returns or exchanges. We send fresh items that should be used and sold promptly. More about product freshness & consistency below.
Should you receive a damaged, leaked or broken item, please contact marissa@wildernorthbotanicals.com with photos of the item, shipping label and packaging.
We are human. Should you find your shipments to be missing items, please contact marissa@wildernorthbotanicals with a photo of your packing slip so we can compare to our shipping photo and records. We often pack in 2-3 layers, please dig through ALL the packing materials. If products are indeed missing, we will ship them via priority mail as soon as we are able to. As a micro-brand, it is not reasonable or within our ability to overnight missing items. We will certainly resolve your issue immediately.
We get to work on Wholesale orders as soon as we receive them, which means we cannot accept cancellations. Apothecary Packages cannot be cancelled or returned once purchased.

WHAT TO EXPECT
All of our products are hand-crafted with natural plant ingredients by humans and without a production team or factory. Each ingredient can vary in color, smell, and even feel – based on harvest, region, season, environment, and more!! This means our final product batches can also vary in color, smell, and feel – though any differences should be subtle. We do our best to consistently use the same ingredient distributors, but are sometimes forced to use another, which can also lead to small differences in end product. Our artisan hydrosols are likely to smell different with each distillation which is completely normal; no two distillations is exactly the same.
We do not use any artificial fragrances, stabilizers or dyes, therefore we encourage you to embrace any subtle differences between batches. We know a difference can be concerning, especially when selling retail to a client, therefore we encourage you to be as transparent with your clients, as we are with you. If some variation is a problem for you, we may not be the right fit, so please consider this before accepting your spot.
All products are made in small batches, and shipped super fresh. We rarely craft more than 60 units of a product at once, meaning there is heavy rotation and slim opportunity for spoilage. If you suspect your item has spoiled or has that “old crayon” smell, please reach out to marissa@wildernorthbotanicals.com to explain your observations and inquire about a replacement. We inspect all returns in this case and will always let you know our findings.

Certain products tend to vary in color more than others because of their richly pigmented ingredients: Astera Serum, Astera Balm, Primrose Cleansing Oil, Nectar Masque, Thaea serum, Thorn serum, Cucumber Matcha Eye Roller, Atone cleansing balm.
Certain products tend to vary in scent more than others because of their distillation or pressing process or complex scent profiles: Hydrosols, Some Hydrating Mists, Honest Elixir, Raspberry Seed Oil, Thaea night serum, Astera serum.
Certain products tend to vary in texture more than others because of their solid lipid ingredients: Atone cleansing Balm, Astera balm, Nectar balm, Lip Lusters and Luminizers.
