We built the WildBiome Ritual on the opposite premise.
Two Systems, Never One
Your body already knows how to handle oil and water separately. Sebaceous glands produce oil. Sweat glands produce water. They are two distinct systems, doing two distinct jobs, and your skin has spent millennia learning to read them independently.
Conventional formulation tends to ignore this. It reaches for an emulsifier — a synthetic bridge that forces oil and water to behave as one substance, whether or not skin was built to receive them that way.

The WildBiome Ritual keeps oil and water in their own lanes. Our core formulas — the slow-infused facial oils, the hydrosols — are built and delivered as separate systems rather than homogenized into one. It's a small formulation choice with a large biological consequence: nothing in the ritual asks your skin's barrier to do work it wasn't designed to do.
No Emulsifiers — Almost Always
Across our core backbar, you won't find an emulsifier — not because avoiding them is a trend, but because every one we tested asked something of the skin barrier we weren't willing to trade for texture. Two of our formulas are the exception: Atone and Ethereal, our cream cleansers, use a light plant-derived emulsifier to do their specific job well. We disclose it every time, because the WildBiome Ritual was never about absolutism. It's about never hiding what's actually in the bottle.
Preservation Without Disruption
The same logic extends to how we keep formulas shelf-stable. Instead of synthetic preservatives that don't discriminate between the microbes that harm skin and the ones that protect it, our hydrosols rely on radish root ferment filtrate — a plant-based preservative that does its job without waging war on your skin's resident bacteria.

What This Looks Like in Practice
In your hands, the WildBiome Ritual is simple: layer, don't blend. A hydrosol mists on as the water phase, absorbing instantly. A facial oil follows as the oil phase, sealing without suffocating. Each does its own job, in its own lane — the way skin was already equipped to receive them.
